SUMMARY:BTOG Lung Cancer Screening Essential Update 2023
DESCRIPTION:An Essential Update for thoracic oncology professionals with a focus on lung cancer screening – Registration is free for HCPs. \nThe 1st draft programme is in development now and will be available early-June 2023. \nThis BTOG (British Thoracic Oncology Group) Essential Update will cover key-issues regarding implementation of lung cancer screening in the UK. For part of the programme\, two parallel tracks will be offered. \nFor clinicians\, a series of debates will discuss contentious points about UK roll-out of screening\, and there will be a Screening MDT with cases from participating centres. \nFor screening practitioners\, a series of talks will outline key aspects of lung cancer screening including trials\, invitation\, patient experience\, radiology and smoking cessation. During the afternoon\, both groups will come together for a concluding session with topics of interest to all those involved in delivering lung cancer screening. This will be followed by an informal drinks reception for networking.
