SUMMARY:Scientific Basis of Urology Course
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a four-day executive course taught by distinguished expert faculty\, including key opinion leaders in their fields. We will explore the basic science of benign and malignant urological conditions. \nThis course cover the scientific basis of urology practice\, including the physiology and patho-physiology of benign and malignant urological conditions. It is suitable as an introduction to the subspeciality of urology for junior trainees\, but has most recently been used as a revision tool for the FRCS(Urol.) exit examination in the UK. It might also be suitable for other international board or professional examinations in urology. The course has two key objectives: \nTo gain a broad understanding of the scientific basis of benign and malignant urological conditions \nTo contextualise the relevance of physiology and pathophysiology of the urinary tract disease to clinical practice \nThis will be achieved through a series of face-to-face lectures by expert faculty\, including key opinion leaders and FRCS(Urol.) medal winners\, with pre-learning content (e.g. previous lectures\, MCQs). \nThis course is accredited by The British Association of Urological Surgeons. \nDay 1: 6 credits \nDay 2: 6 credits \nDay 3: 6 credits \nDay 4: 6 credits \nThis course was previously organised by University College London Hospitals (UCLH) NHS Foundation Trust. \nDates: \nMonday 09 December – Thursday 12 December 2024 09:00-17:00 \nCost: \n£650 On Campus \n£650 Overseas Online* \n£550  UK online \n*tax inclusive \nOnsite Location:  Barts Cancer Institute\, Joseph Rotblat Building\, Queen Mary University of London\, Charterhouse Square\, LONDON  EC1M 6BQ \nNote: Refund policy: refunds will be given for cancellations before 25 November 2024.
