SUMMARY:Demystifying the Science Behind Targeted Treatments and Immunotherapies for Haematological Cancers
DESCRIPTION:This course introduces the biology and genetics of many haematological cancers. Elaine also describes a wide range of systemic treatment approaches for acute and chronic leukaemia\, non-Hodgkin and Hodgkin lymphoma\, and multiple myeloma. These include monoclonal antibody-\, small molecule- and cell-based therapies. Because of their complexity\, Elaine will pay particular attention to CAR T cell therapy and T cell engagers. \nThis content is ideal for research nurses\, clinical nurse specialists\, pharmacists and clinical trials coordinators. It may also be of interest to other healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis and treatment of people with haematological cancers\, and to junior doctors.
