MSTART, the Medical and Sporting Technology Research Trust founded by Mel Morris CBE, is funding the University of Warwick and Accelerated Clinical Trials (ACT) to accelerate research and clinical trials for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML).
The partnership will be supported by Corpora.ai, the world’s first Scientific Frontier Research Platform, which will assist progressing research and data infrastructure.
Corpora.ai will deploy its AI technology to enhance the national AML patient registry, delivering faster, data-driven insights for researchers and clinicians. By analysing clinical literature, biomarkers, and treatment pathways at speed, the platform will help develop earlier diagnosis models, optimise trial design, and identify predictive biomarkers.
MSTART’s philanthropic support reflects its mission to translate emerging technologies into real-world impact, building on its track record in areas such as robotic surgery, kidney dialysis, and advanced sports training. Their funding will allow for expanding clinical trial capacity, accelerating trial delivery and supporting patient engagement.
The University of Warwick will launch new data science scholarships to train researchers in secure database design and machine learning. ACT, founded by Professor Charles Craddock CBE, will continue leading blood cancer clinical trials across the UK, providing access to over 27 NHS-embedded research centres.
